In game themes and Check-ins

Corpo-7 is an adult game that intends to have a mix of whimsy and horror.
Some people may find specific content extremely difficult to deal with, for instance because of out-of-character experience, but equally discovering that it is “just too much” when you encounter it in-game the first time.

There may be:

  • Psychological torture
  • Discrimination against type of being
  • Manipulation
  • Moral atrocities
  • Slavery and indentured servitude
  • In-Character Ideological discrimination (e.g. reprints, ASIs, Cybernetics etc)

Where possible, if you have content themes that you know you would find difficult to deal with – let us know in advance, when signing in. If you discover them in game, let a ref know immediately, so they can take you away from those elements you find difficult.

Check-ins are big and clever.
A check-in is where you discretely out-of-character check that the people you are interacting with are actually OK and not being actually traumatised by particular content. You can do this Before…. During… Periodically… After.

Do it quietly, but make sure that the check-in question is clearly understood to be out-of-character, and that you are genuinely checking their welfare, and that you get an unambiguous answer – so that you then know you can continue without upsetting them or needing to stop.
